why invest in playful learning experiences?

Free-range play improves the cognitive, physical, social, and emotional well-being of children. Through play, children learn about the world around them, who the people are around them and also about who they are on the inside. They learn the fundamental skills they need in life; for study, work and relationships, such as:

  • confidence

  • self-esteem

  • resilience

  • interaction

  • social skills

  • independence

  • curiosity

  • coping with challenging situations

“truly the best learning experiences leave children with sand in their toes, paint in their nails and a twinkle in their eyes.”

Hannah Atkinson

“what do parents owe their young that is more imporant that a warm and trusting connection to the earth?”

Theodore Roosevelt

“the best classroom and richest cupboard is roofed only by the sky.”

Margaret McMillan
